Creamy Green Protein Smoothie

Smoothies are a staple for us, especially in summer, whether it is a filling breakfast shake or a light fruity smoothie. There are SO many options as to what you can add in your smoothies, you can make them as simple or complex as you want! This smoothie has literally been my GO-TO for the past 8-9 months, it is full of carbs, protein, and healthy fats to keep me full and energized for the morning. I am a fan of thicker, creamier smoothies, but if that is not your thing feel free to add more non-dairy milk to make it the consistency you want. Creamy Green Protein Smoothie (1 large serving)

Ingredients:

- Half an avocado (small-medium sized)

- 1 frozen large banana (in chunks, I always keep a Tupperware container of frozen banana in my freezer)

- 1 to 2 cups spinach (or any other greens of your choice)

- 1 tsp maple syrup (optional for extra sweetness)

- 1 tbsp flaxseed (hemp or chia seed would work as well)

- 1 scoop vegan vanilla protein powder (I used Orgain)

- 1 1/2 to 2 cups of non-dairy milk (I used unsweetened almond milk)

Instructions:

1. Add all the ingredients to the blender cup.

2. Blend on high for 1 minute or until it is thick and creamy.
