ABOUT US

Why not start with me since I am the one writing this blog post and am the oldest, which makes me automatically qualified to go first.

My name is Taelynn Boschee. I am 21 years old and have grown to be an avid food lover from my last years of high school. I struggled with an eating disorder in about 10th grade, and it made me look at food as something harmful and worrysome. I ate very little and was so obsessed about food and working out that it soon took over my life. I am so thankful for recovering in about a years time, as I could have reached the point to where my heart would have stopped from being so underweight. This time in my life not only taught me to accept my body, but as well enjoy food and use it to nourish my body and soul. I have come

a long way from this time in my life, and am slowly getting to where I want to be mentally and physically as a human being. I am hoping this blog can teach you blog lovers about what health journey you want to take yourself on, and that it doesn't have to involve a huge amount of work or change.

Little bits about me are that I love yoga, travelling, peanut butter (oops), dancing, cooking, photography, and many more. I am currently in my third year of my Elementary Education degree, so I will see where life takes me.

Well, I guess I should let Taryn get some words in before I babble on for too long...here she is!

Hey guys! My name is Taryn Boschee, which I’m guessing you already knew. I'm 18 years old and my story is completely different than my sister's, but some of you may relate to mine. As a kid, I was always obsessed with food. I wouldn’t eat  beautiful fruits and veggies such as any salads, bananas, and oranges and would go more towards candy, chips, and cheeseburgers, everything that your body doesn’t want! Honestly, I never looked good and I gained a ton of weight for only being in Grade 5. But in December 2013, this completely changed.

One of my friends, Kaitlyn, and I decided to do a challenge. Who could be  vegetarian for the longest? She lasted around a month, but I decided to keep it going. After not eating any meat for that month, I really didn’t find any attraction

to it! Even around Christmas time when there was Turkey and Chicken, my body refused it! In only 25 days, the food that once was attractive to me wasn’t anymore. I kept up being vegetarian, until June 2014, when I made the choice to be a vegan. I’ve now eaten no animal products for almost 5 years. It’s been fantastic! I’ve felt way better, more energized, and way happier. All during this lifestyle, I’ve seen how much food there is that has animals harmed in them, that you could make vegan. Even for Christmas, I made Vegan Stuffing that huge meat eaters loved! Eating the right foods can really impact you now and in the future.

I’m also a very active person, whether that means through exercise or sewing or writing! I love keeping myself occupied, and I always get bored and want to try new things! My sister and I both love dancing, cardio and bike-riding and that's what we normally do to keep us fit! I also love making reusable bags, makeup pads, and so much more! I just love living a plant-based, healthy lifestyle.

I hope you guys can get some inspiration to include exercise and healthy eating in your lifestyle! Trust me, you'll feel way better and live longer!
